Attorney Arielle Capuano has been appointed Vice Chair of the Florida Bar Mental Health and Wellness of Florida Lawyers Committee (MHWFLC) by Florida Bar President Roland Sanchez-Medina, Jr. Arielle will serve with Committee Chair L.A. Perkins, Board Liaison Karl Klein, Staff Liaison Christine Bilbrey, and other esteemed members.
During his address at the Annual Florida Bar Meetings, President Sanchez-Medina, Jr. emphasized the importance of attorney mental health and well-being, laying out his vision of a legal environment that “prioritizes support, collaboration, and well-being” and committing to enhancing the support available to Florida attorneys, particularly in the areas of mental health and well-being.
“As a practicing Attorney and Yogi, I have a real appreciation for the many benefits that wellness tools and community resources can provide,” said Capuano. “I believe that attorneys perform their best when they feel their best, and we need to make sure we are taking care of ourselves. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Florida Bar Leadership to help foster and encourage a more collaborative, healthy, and constructive legal environment for all.”
Arielle has served on the Florida Bar’s MHWFLC since 2022 and is the immediate past chair of the communications subcommittee. Among other initiatives, Arielle has worked with the MHWFLC on the creation and dissemination of collateral for the MHWFLC and the Florida Lawyers Helpline, a free and confidential service that connects members with professional counselors and other resources.
